Fall Protection General Awareness

     We supply fall arrest solutions and, in institutional applications, take into consideration the esthetics of the building and the need for primary and secondary approach to working at heights. Our experts keep current legislation, user friendliness and the most cost effective solutions foremost in all consultations.

      The Fall Protection course is designed for individuals who will be working at height. It is an in-class seminar, with demonstrations and discussions, including slides and videos. Class participation includes workplace discussions, questions and answers and each worker will be properly fitted into a full body harness. This course meets the minimum requirements of the Provincial Construction and Industrial Regulations, stating that all workers who may be at height must be trained in the fall protection equipment that might be used. Following the classroom seminar students will be required to complete a written examination. Successful students will be provided with a certificate acknowledging they have met or exceeded CSA requirements as an Authorized Person. They will also receive a fall protection reference guide.

Purpose :

• to provide a basic understanding of equipment
• to create awareness of the working-at-heights environment and safety precautions
• to generate interest in fall protection issues
• to provide an overview for transient workers where complete training is limited

• Fall Protection Basics: Fall Protection, Fall Prevention, Fall Arrest
• Body Support : Body Belts, Harnesses with Proper Donning
• Connectors : Compatible Connections, Rollout & Force Rollout, Lanyards
• Anchorages : Strength Requirements, Engineered (Certified vs. Non Certified)
• Specialized Equipment: S.R.L., Vertical Lifelines & Rope Grabs, Ladder Climbing Systems, Horizontal Lifelines
• Rescue Basics : Rescue Plan, Rescue Devices
• Equipment Care & Inspections: Harness Inspections, Annual Requirements
