Equipment World is looking for a reliable, hands-on Mechanically inclined Rental Yard Associate to join our Rentals Division in Thunder Bay. Responsibilities
As a Rental Yard /Warehouse Attendant, your main responsibilities include the basic maintenance and organization of our warehouse area and rental equipment. Daily duties include but are not limited to:
- Track rental equipment and ensure all equipment is properly prepared and presented to be rental ready
- Perform pre-delivery inspections on all equipment & rental products; test all functions and note any deficiencies
- Perform post-rental inspections using inspection checklists; follow up on any damage, problems, or customer chargebacks (via internal work order system / mechanic and rental desk)
- Check and test basic functionality, including air filters, spark plugs, tire pressures, grease, lubrication and fluid levels.
- Ensure equipment is prominently displayed and maintained (including washing, fuel, lubes, basic repairs)
- Ensure all equipment and rental products are properly labeled and identification or capacity plates are correct
- Equip all units with applicable papers, manuals, etc.
- Test all equipment and test all functions on a regular basis; note deficiencies with the service team
- Manage and maintain propane bottle inventory and process propane refills
- Assist with returns, loading and unloading as needed
- Respond to customer inquiries, maintain good customer relations, and solve problems as required
- Maintain clean and orderly yard
- Maintain clean and orderly warehouse areas
- Contribute to the overall success of the company

What We Offer:
- Immediate, full-time employment
- Starting wage of $22/hour, wage based on experience
- Consistent schedule: Monday to Friday, with alternating Saturdays

What You’ll Need:
- A valid G-Class driver’s license
- A clean driver’s abstract
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
