Spudsbury Potato Festival

 The first ever Spudsbury Potato Festival took place on September 13, 2014 and was a huge hit. The Human Leauge Assosiation raised $1,400 in dontations alone for the League's breakfast and sports subsidy programs for children. Notable activities for the day included a potato cannon, potato-sack races a potato pancake breakfast, and the Equipment World SandBox with interactive potato dig. The Human League Association is organizing the first ever Spudsbury Potato Festival in Blezard Valley.

This event is taking place at The Valley Growers Farm on Martin Road (2960 Martin Road) on Saturday, September 13th. Admission is by donation to the Breakfast Club for Kids Program.  The fun starts off with a potato pancake breakfast ($5) from 9am-11am at the Valley View Church (across the street) and the activities at the farm start at 10am and run till 4pm.

There will be plenty to do, including live music, a tour of potato processing, an education station and a farm equipment show & shine. 

Bring the kids along for the action packed day, as there will be a petting zoo, pony rides, obstacle courses, potato sack races, wagon rides, potato cannons and a toilet seat toss.  Come and check out the Equipment World “Tiny Tater’s Sandbox”.

Don’t forget your appetite because there will be a farmers market, featuring locally grown produce.
