New Vehicle Inspection Requirements - effective July 1/07
Other Provinces, as well as Ontario CVOR, have adopted and approved new Commercial Vehicle inspection requirements, in particular, changing the driver and other vehicle inspection and sign-off requirements, modeling the National Safety Code.
These New changes are expected to be adopted and in place Canada-wide for all Province Compliance requirements. The new Inspection requirements effective July 1, 2007 must include a Driver and/or other vehicle inspector Declaration of specific and accurate information and the Schedule 1 listing info, which details performance standards for minor and major defects for each area of vehicle inspection. The declaration must be signed off and in the vehicle declaring that you or someone else has inspected the vehicle according to the Schedule 1 requirements as a minimum.
Performing a better, more accurate, detailed vehicle inspection is always better for safety, maintenance/repair, insurance, compliance, avoidance of fines/penalties and due diligence.
