This was the first year for Equipment World to participate in the BIG BIKE challenge. We managed to raise approximately $6,500 in support of the Heart & Stroke Foundation. To gear up for the event and help raise funds, we also hosted a few neighbourhood Chili Sale lunches throughout April 2008. About the Big Bike Fundraiser: Big Bike is one of the Heart and Stroke Foundation’s most FUN-raising fundraising events. Causing a commotion wherever it goes, the event is named after the 30-seat bicycle that teams of enthusiastic riders pedal through 200 communities across nine provinces – raising funds, attention and laughs along the way.
