LOAD LIFTER is a world leader in the production of rough terrain forklifts and offers one of the widest ranges of models in the industry today. LOAD LIFTER forklifts are used in all areas around the globe and cover many applications used in the Construction, Agriculture, Mining, Forestry, Lumber, and Industrial markets. Capacities range from 4,000 to 30,000 lbs. and lift heights from 8 to 42 feet. The manufacturing facility is located in Toronto , Ontario , Canada .

Since its inception in 1976, LOAD LIFTER has produced high quality forklifts for various markets and has lead the way with innovative design and value priced vehicles. Founded by owner and President Hedley Thomas, LOAD LIFTER was created because he saw a need for a true four wheel drive Rough Terrain Forklift. During Toronto ’s building boom in the late 70’s, contractors were being forced to continue working all year long. The necessity for continued production prompted the need for a four wheel drive forklift for use during the Winter and Spring months. LOAD LIFTER was one of the first North American manufacturers to build a true four wheel drive, four wheel steer, rough terrain forklift. The first piece of equipment produced was called the 4400 series machine.

LOAD LIFTER now produces five different series of machines representing a total of more than twenty-eight models including: 2200 / 2400 D Series, 4400 F Series, Laborer Series, Reach Series and the Agri-Lifter Series. Equipment World Inc. has been a distributor of LOAD LIFTER machines since 1991. Headquartered in Thunder Bay , Equipment World has over 40,000-square-feet of combined warehouse space that stocks an entire inventory of sales equipment and parts. With full service facilities, located in Thunder Bay , Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury , collectively, the company employs over 70 people, assuring each area is equipped with an inside and outside sales force along with mechanical service and technical installation crews.

This Northern Ontario-owned company has been a distributor of brand name, quality products since 1973. It boasts a diverse product inventory which can be accessed on its redeveloped website www.equipworld.com . The site includes comprehensive product catalogues, flyers and feature items and the current Equipment Inventory fleet, creating a one-stop shop for customer convenience.

The company has an extensive rental and lease department with more than 200 units to meet the short-term needs of its clients. Some of the items in the fleet include material handling, industrial and aerial-lift equipment, such as forklifts, pallet trucks, loading dock and lift equipment, electric stackers, scissor lifts, elevating docks, skid steers and reach trucks.

SERVICE

Contract and backup service, preventative maintenance programs and maintenance leases are available. As well, emergency response service technicians are on call 24-hours, seven days a week with 12 fully-equipped mobile service vans across Northern Ontario .

OPERATOR TRAINING

In addition to quality, reliable service, Equipment World offers operator safety training for aerial work platforms, lift trucks and propane handling at all three locations or on-site for client convenience. Courses are regularly posted on the website’s Events Calendar. All trainers are certified through Ministry and industry standards, providing classroom and hands-on training. Successful participants receive a certificate and a record of training.

The 4400 series which established Load Lifter as a manufacturer, continues to be a unique machine that can operate in the worst conditions and provide lifting capabilities that few other machines can provide. With their commitment to improving Operator visibly and sight lines the latest project was the development of the new 4400 F series. Capable of lifting 20,000 lbs, this machine is the latest of their new high visibility models. With a higher seat position, a wider fixed mast, and a 75% increase in cab glass area, this forklift will be unrivaled in its class. New technology in sound reduction, as well as Cab isolation, is providing DBA readings in the Cab below 80 which is unheard of in the Rough Terrain Industry.
