Ontario Ministry of Labour Safety Blitz for November 2009

 

The Ministry of Labour occupational health and safety inspectors will conduct an inspection blitz in November, checking for workplace hazards that can cause slips, trips and falls.

Ministry of Labour inspectors will concentrate on
transportation, education, industrial services, retail and wholesale workplaces.

 

The focus will be on the following:

  • Same-level falls (trips and slips)
  • Falls from heights
  • Ladders
  • Mobile equipment
  • Falls into liquids
  • Logging and trucking
